Ingredients:
For Pakoras:
● 1 cup gram flour (besan)
● 2 tbsp TOPS Cornstarch
● 1 onion, finely chopped
● ½ tsp turmeric powder
● ½ tsp red chilli powder
● ½ tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
● Water, as needed
● Salt to taste
● Oil for frying
For Kadhi:
● 2 cups yoghurt
● ¼ cup gram flour (besan)
● ½ tsp turmeric powder
● 1 tsp mustard seeds
● 1 tsp cumin seeds
● 1 dried red chilli
● Curry leaves
● 2 cups water
● Salt to taste
Method:
For Pakoras:
1. Mix gram flour, TOPS Cornstarch, onion, spices, and water to make a thick batter.
2. Fry small portions of the batter until golden brown.
3. Drain excess oil and keep aside.
For Kadhi:
1. Whisk yoghurt, gram flour, turmeric, and water.
2. In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin, red chilli, and curry leaves.
3. Pour in the yoghurt mixture and simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Add pakoras, let them soak up the kadhi goodness, and serve hot with rice!
